Social networking sites have become a ready tool to promote your blog and get free daily traffic. Facebook, Twitter and linkedin are some of the most popular social sites available at the moment. To get enough traffic to your blog, you need to harness every available opportunity – including words of mouth, search engines, social media, etc.

Most of the times, bloggers are too busy to have the time to fully optimize their blogs. They don’t have the time to send their latest posts to facebook, twitter, linkedin, pinterest, stumbleupon, diigo, delicious, etc. and that could really be a challenge for every blogger who wants to get a lot of people from different sources to read his/her blog posts.

But there is a way you can publish your article and make it appear on your twitter, facebook and linkedin profiles automatically each time there is an update. With this technology, you don’t need to log on to your profiles and manually share your latest work. You simply use “Twitterfeed” to inform them of your updates.

How do you do it?
Simply go to twitterfeed and register an account. Click on ‘Create a new feed’ and then fill in the Feed name and its URL in the spaces provided. If the feed is active, it would indicate and is automatically ticked. You can then click ‘test rss feed’ to see if it is working. If it is working, it would be ticked “feed parsed Ok” in green letters. Your feed is successfully created.

Next, you will see available services (Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin). Click on Twitter and authenticate your existing account (using OAuth) or create a new one. You will need to authorize the app. Once authorized, you can then click on ‘create service’.

Go ahead to do same for the facebook and linkedin accounts respectively. To authenticate your facebook account, simply click “connect with facebook” and fill in your email and password. You have the options to post directly to your wall on to your facebook page if you have one. Please indicate which of the pages to post to if you have more than one.

Go to the third part and click on the Linkedin button to authenticate your account. After that, click ‘create service’. Finally click on the button “All done” (at the bottom) and you are done. Congratulations. Next time you make a new post, it would automatically be sent to your twitter, facebook and linkedin profiles. To add more blogs, go back to your dashboard and repeat same procedure.

Having created a way to automatically inform twitter, facebook and linkedin of your updates, you can now have enough time to send your latest post to other social bookmarking sites and save some of your precious time and energy.
