It is so annoying when you have a gmail address and yet you cannot enjoy it because each time you open your mailbox, it is flooded with messages that are nauseating.
Your box is most of the time filled with fake business proposals, won lottery tickets, delivered parcel through a particular non-existent parcel service, you are asked to click a link in order to become a millionaire or you are simply asked to buy Viagra, cialis or other forms of restricted pharmaceutical products.
You try to delete the mail, and even send warning to the sender; but it’s like the intensity increases each time you try to warn the culprit to desist from sending you unsolicited mails. Attempts to unsubscribe prove abortive because there are no links to unsubscribe.
Such unsolicited mails sometimes even make you to miss the original ones that may require urgent action on your part. Gmail may also get tired, annoyed or confused and send some of your good mails along with those fake ones into your Spam box. And if you are not the type who checks his spam box regularly, you may miss an opportunity to attend a job interview or even fail to read your appointment letter, thereby losing your chance to someone else. You see how much damage such things could cause you?
However, there is always a way out of every difficult situation. All you need do is to create a filter for such mails. Go to ‘Create a Filter’ (you find it in front of the ‘Search the Web’ button). Fill in the email address of the person you want to block.
If you want also to block the domain where the letter is coming from, simply type in the domain name. All mails coming from there would be barred. What you do when there are more than one or two mails from the same domain, for example okkkk@vital.com, kickers@vital.com, monster@vital.com, etc simply type “@vital.com” and all letters from that domain stop reaching your mailbox.
However, if there are several addresses involved, type the addresses and separate them with a “|” (remember to remove the quotation marks. You do something like this “okkk@vital.com|kickers@vital.com|monster@vital.com|fowl@pig.com” and then click ‘Next Step’. Check ‘Delete’ and then click on ‘Create Filter’. Your filter has been created. Create as many filters as you want to and limit the number of spam message you receive in your inbox.
